CANTERBURY




Discover the story of Thomas Becket’s murder, on a Private Guided Tour around Canterbury Cathedral and see the oldest stained glass windows in the whole of England! Afterwards, experience Evensong in the Cathedral, usually sung by the Choristers and Lay Clerks or enjoy some local produce from our own ‘Garden of England’.
DOVER CASTLE & THE WHITE CLIFFS OF DOVER




Explore Dover Castle, known as ‘The Key to England’, which was built by King Henry 2 for pilgrims on their way to the shrine of Thomas Becket. Inside the Keep, you can find out more about castle life and explore the medieval tunnels beneath or climb to the top of the Keep for fabulous views over the Kent coastline and the famous White Cliffs of Dover, made famous by Dame Vera Lynn and close to where Ian Fleming once lived!
LEEDS CASTLE




Leeds Castle, surrounded by a beautiful moat is said to be ‘The loveliest castle in the whole world!’ You can wander through the picturesque grounds with your camera and hear stories about the castle’s medieval past. See the rooms of the last owner – the American heiress, Lady Olive Baillie, who used the castle as a party venue, inviting many film stars at weekends!
RYE
Explore medieval Rye on foot – attacked by the French, the town is perched on the hillside and was once surrounded by the sea. It’s quaint old streets are full of history and tales of smuggling. Climb to the top of Mermaid Street, stop for breather, where the Hawkhurst Gang met with their pistols on the table and find out more about a grisly murder in the churchyard!
